Matt Surkont – CEO

An entrepreneur at heart, Matt is driven by establishing and growing technology businesses. Matt is the founder and CEO of BlueSky, a leading enterprise cloud technology professional services provider. Having successfully started and exited several technology companies, Matt is also the founder and limited partner of an early stage private equity fund run by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. Matt is an active tech start-up investor with a passion for bringing technology related commercial sense to early stage businesses. Matt holds a Business Science Honours Degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town. When Matt is not BlueSky thinking, he can be found spending time with his wonderful family, ultra-distance trail running or deep-sea fishing.

Rendani Baumgartner – Director

Rendani has a deep passion for developing people from good to great. Rendani is a director at BlueSky. Rendani has occupied various human capital management positions in Southern Africa and Switzerland. Rendani thrives in organisations that are people and solution driven, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School as well as an Honours in Industrial Psychology from the University of Johannesburg. Rendani’s joys include visiting tennis tournaments, cake decorating for friends and spending time in the wild with her family.

Boitumelo Nkatsane Ditsepu – Director

Tumi is a qualified Chartered Account (CA) with strong financial sector governance experience and a heart for each one of her many clients. Tumi is a director at BlueSky. Driven by her desire to better her community, Tumi is passionate about providing meaningful opportunities for those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to them. In her current role, she manages both the governance and investment teams and serves on multiple investment boards. In addition to her CA qualification, Tumi also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Sciences from University of Johannesburg and a Certificate in Theory of Accounting from UNISA. When she isn’t attending to her clients and colleagues needs, Tumi enjoys spending time with her family, travelling discovering new places and singing in her church choir.

Caro Reinecke – Technology Manager

Caro’s passion lies in establishing and growing technology skills. A mentor at heart, Caro is the Technology Manager at BlueSky. Having previously helped establish two Salesforce partner practices, Caro also played a leadership role in building out the local instance of one of the global Salesforce partner practices. Some would label him as a blunt eccentric technocrat, others who know him better see a fun loving person with a dry sense of humour. Caro’s motto is to believe in your people, take care of your people and help them believe in their ability. Caro is a family man and “la mia casa” has a special meaning and priority to him. He enjoys outdoor walks in nature and fly-fishing.

Jorel Naidoo – Technology Lead

Passionate about people and technology, Jorel has a decade of experience with Salesforce administration, development and solution design, including system security, architecture and integration. Jorel is the Technology Lead at BlueSky. Jorel has extensive experience in the financial, telecommunications and logistics industries as well as in-depth experience with data analytics and business intelligence. Over the years, Jorel has assisted with the development of multiple individuals in the South African Salesforce community and continues to do so in his role at BlueSky as the technical lead. Family, music, gaming and general tinkering is how Jorel spends his time when he is not trying to save the world, one BlueSky solution at a time.

Shmeuli Pels – Consulting Manager

Shmueli has extensive enterprise digital design and implementation experience having been involved in several global cloud projects within multiple industries including financial services, media and marketing. Shmueli is responsible for the end to end functional consulting practice as the Consulting Manager at BlueSky. He specialises in designing and implementing agile frameworks working with multiple delivery teams and focussing on business value. When Shmueli is not knee deep in enterprise cloud projects, he can be found, along with his wife, attending to their flock of 4 kids, 2 cats, 1 hamster and 23 bunnies. In his spare time Shmueli enjoys playing classic guitar, boxing and Jewish mysticism.

Ryan Giliam – Consulting Lead

Ryan has an entrepreneurial background which he applies within BlueSky’s start-up and agile approach to enterprise technology. Ryan is responsible for end-to-end functional consulting as the Consulting Lead at BlueSky. Ryan found his passion and niche in the technology world having built up an extensive career implementing enterprise cloud technologies with some of the premier global digital practices before joining BlueSky. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing from Edith Cowan University, Perth, West Australia. Ryan is an extremely active person and loves to be busy. In his free time, you will find him on the golf course, running, camping or playing cricket.

Jason Broomfield – Sales and Marketing Manager

Jason’s passion for innovation & entrepreneurship led him to BlueSky. Drawing on his wide array of corporate, consulting and sales experience, Jason is responsible for all incoming business at BlueSky as the Sales and Marketing Manager. Having cut his teeth in the banking sector, Jason moved on to a top global consulting firm where he delivered strategic solutions to a cross section of corporate clients across Southern Africa. Jason enjoys the disruptive nature of the cloud space and is constantly looking for smarter and more effective ways to do things, even if it ruffles a few feathers. Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce Marketing degree and is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Jason enjoys traveling, is an avid music fan and has a wonderful family that keeps him grounded.
